Food and beverage brand Zesa Raw Trading Post was the sponsor partner for a recent brunch honoring the dedication of celebrity mothers, while also using the star-powered occasion to draw attention to the mothers in Haiti who produce the company's coffee and sugar products.

Taking place at the SLS Beverly Hills, the brunch was attended by celebrities including The Game star Brandy Norwood and her mother Sonya, model and actress Eva Marcille (America's Next Top Model), Grammy Award nominee Keyshia Cole and actress Vanessa Bell Calloway (Hawthorne).

The stars and their moms were able to enjoy Zesa Raw's organic products at the brunch last week, but equally important as the women who were there are the ones who weren't.

Zesa Raw prides itself on supporting women in Haiti, many of whom have returned to small-scale farming to support their families as the country continues to rebuild after the earthquakes there five years ago. According to the company, all of their coffee is hand-sorted by women, and Zesa Raw works solely with these small-scale farmers.

Their mission statement reads, in part, that the brand "supports the empowerment of women through equal pay and other practices."

"One of the best ways to support Haiti is by investing in Haiti," said Michelle Jean, founder of Zesa Raw. "Haitian moms have the same dedication and desire to raise, educate and support the dreams of their children, and by sharing this moment with celebrity moms, it demonstrates how all moms everywhere share a unique connection.”
