Former Minister of Commerce and Industry of Haiti. Marie-Josée Garnier has more than thirty (30) years of experience in Economics and Development Management. She gained her first experience in the Haitian government where she worked successively at the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation, Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Education, the Office the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Since 1993, she has worked as an expert in Economic Management, on behalf of businesses, international organizations, public and semi-public organizations, Chambers of Commerce and Industry and private sector associations. From 1988 to 2006, Ms. GARNIER has taught in three (3) Haitian universities. She has taught courses Situation and Economic Forecasting, Strategy and Development Policy, of Managerial Economics and Industrial Economics. Marie Josée Garnier is a graduate from the Institute of Advanced Business and Economic Research, holds an Advanced Studies Diploma (DEA) in Economic Policy Analysis and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, France, and a Diploma in Comprehensive Planning of the Latin American Institute for Economic and Social Planning (ILPES) of Santiago, Chile. She is also a Statistician and Licensed Professional Accountant. Marie Josee Garnier is President and Director General of Management Science Institute (ISM), Studies entity of Research, Training and Management Consulting.
