Clifton M. Turner is a global hospitality veteran regarded as the consummate hospitality guru and Buddhist thinker. He was born and raised in Singapore; his talents awarded him a full Scholarship from BAT and the British Council to pursue his education in Glasgow, Scotland at The Royal Conservatoire. His international path and respect of cultures led him to discover the true education of World Cultures.
Having spent his youth working for Club Mediterranee in Bali, as well as Phuket - Clifton developed a love for indigenous cultures, cuisines and acquired a taste for sublime service and products that were made by local artisans. His time spent in Southeast Asia, ingrained in him an appreciation for the artisans loving care and respect for nature, which translated in their art.
Later, he effortlessly found his way into fashion editing and styling shoots in exotic locations in Egypt and Turkey. He then was asked to style and program the launch of MTV ASIA, for India and South East Asia.
Clifton’s natural interest for different cuisines, arts and culture influenced him to move to New York City. While in NYC he worked as a maitre’d, service director and an Assistant GM for hospitality establishments such as: Cafeteria, The Lion, Butter, The Grand Hospitality Group and Red Rooster, to name a few. Clifton is currently working at Omar’s, a secluded & exclusive Diner’s Club.
